The linkage-type rear suspension features a KYB® shock with cross-country focused damping characteristics to match the YZ450FX's refined chassis.

The YZ450FX's slim, flat, compact body eases rider movement for improved control, including seamless, rounded features from seat edges and side covers to the narrow fuel tank and front shroud. The rider triangle is also designed to provide increased legroom between the seat and foot pegs for enhanced rider comfort.
