Street-legal and adventure ready, this dual sport packs performance, accessibility and fun into a single, economical package. With a potent 125cc engine featuring Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), high-quality KYB® suspension, and large wheels, the WR125R tackles both roads and trails with control and confidence.

• Advanced 125cc Engine with VVA

Featuring Yamaha's Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), the WR125R's advanced 125cc liquid-cooled engine delivers excellent power and torque across the rev range. The VVA system uses two intake cam profiles—one for low RPM and the other for high RPM—which are switched according to engine speed and throttle opening to optimize low- to mid-range torque and top-end power. The single-cylinder engine also delivers excellent fuel economy with a nearly 200 mile range.

• Versatile KYB® Suspension

The 41mm KYB® front fork and linkage rear shock are tuned to provide a plush ride and excellent damping characteristics for both off-road and on-road riding. The 8.5-inches of travel up front and 7.3-inches of travel at the rear add to the WR's off-road performance.

• Front and Rear Disc Brakes with ABS

Braking power comes from a 267mm disc with a two-pot caliper up front and a 220mm disc with one-pot caliper out back for a highly controllable ride in a wide variety of conditions. The front brake also features ABS with a Bosch® hydraulic unit for added braking confidence.

• Excellent Ergonomics

The WR125R is designed with slim, compact ergonomics and a roomy upright seating position to increase rider comfort on long commutes. Its smooth body panels and flat motocross-style seat allow for easy movement forward when cornering and backward when tackling off-road obstacles. Wide motocross-style footpegs provide excellent stability and confidence in a variety of conditions.

• Large Wheels & Dual Sport Tires

The WR125R's 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel deliver excellent off-road performance. They come wrapped in versatile Dunlop® D605 dual-sport tires that provide excellent grip on both paved and unpaved roads, and offer the flexibility to tackle everything from daily urban commutes to epic off-road adventures.

• Y-Connect Smartphone Connectivity

The WR125R features Yamaha Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect) smartphone connectivity which works in conjunction with the free-of-charge Y-Connect app (available for iOS and Android) connecting your motorcycle and smartphone. With Y-Connect, riders can view incoming calls, emails and message notifications, while also tracking and recording key motorcycle ride data like distance covered, fuel consumption, acceleration, and motorcycle location.
