SMALL BIKE. BIG BRAAAP.Delivering a small-bike package with big Yamaha performance, the YZ85 is built for fun and built to win.
Features may include:
- Potent YPVS Two-Stroke Engine
New for 2027, the potent 85cc liquid-cooled, two-stroke engine's intake system now features the VForce4R reed valve, while the exhaust system’s YPVS settings were also revised, resulting in a wider powerband and enhanced ridability across the entire rev range.
- Optimized Chassis Design
The YZ85's chassis is built for the best up-and-comers with strength, rigidity and overall handling stability. The aluminum swingarm balances longitudinal and torsional rigidity, and the removable rear subframe constructed from lightweight, high-strength aluminum reduces weight.
- Fully-Adjustable KYB® Suspension
The lightweight 36mm KYB® inverted cartridge fork features low-friction outer tubes and internals, plus adjustable compression and rebound damping. Paired with a race-proven fully-adjustable KYB® rear shock with a progressive linkage-type design for excellent bottoming resistance, the combined packaged offer loads of suspension travel for serious competition on the track.
- Large-Diameter Wave-Style Disc Brakes
Big wave-style 220mm front disc and 190mm rear disc deliver strong, precise stopping power, while also offering excellent self-cleaning and cool-running performance. The rear brake master cylinder also includes a built-in sub-reservoir to provide linear brake response and control.
- Performance-Minded Ergonomics
Riders get greater freedom of movement with increased control and confidence thanks to the flat seat and narrow fuel tank design, smoothly integrated body panels, and slim shroud width. The four-position adjustable handlebars allow riders to tune the bar position to their specific size and preference.
